Young Eagles is a world-wide EAA program that introduces young people to the world of aviation and provides their first airplane ride free of charge. Locally, EAA Chapter 113 has already given over 1,700 flights to Young Eagles to date! Nationally, EAA has given over 1.25 million flights! EAA also has a Young Eagles web site at www.youngeagles.com where you can see what's new and even participate in an aviation web chat. Chapter 113 is actively looking for young people to participate in this program and would like to hear from any youth or youth organizations that would be interested in free airplane rides. Youth participating in the program receive a Young Eagles certificate and have their name entered in the World's Largest Logbook at EAA Headquarters in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Youth often have their photo taken with their pilot and plane as well.
